Nappy rash can be relatively straight-forward to manage if you follow a good skincare routine for your baby.
Frequently asked questions about QV Baby Barrier Cream
When should I use QV Baby Barrier Cream?
Apply at every nappy change, especially after cleaning the area, to protect against rash, redness, and irritation. It’s also suitable for use on other moisture-prone areas like skin folds or under the chin.
Is it suitable for newborns?
Yes. QV Baby Barrier Cream is gentle enough for newborns and infants. It’s dermatologically tested and designed for sensitive, delicate skin.
What skin conditions can it help with?
It helps prevent and manage nappy rash, drool rash, and irritation caused by moisture or friction. It’s suitable for eczema-prone or sensitive skin.
Does it contain fragrance or color?
No. QV Baby Barrier Cream is free from fragrance, color, and lanolin, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or further irritation.
Is it easy to apply and remove?
Yes. The cream has a smooth, spreadable texture, making it easy to apply without rubbing or tugging. It also washes off gently, without needing harsh scrubbing.
Can I use it with reusable (cloth) nappies?
Yes, but as with all barrier creams, it’s best to check with your cloth nappy provider as some ingredients may affect absorbency over time. Use a liner if needed.
Is QV Baby Barrier Cream medicated?
No. It is a non-medicated protective cream, which means it can be used frequently without risk of overuse. It works by forming a physical barrier, not through active medicinal ingredients.
