Frequently asked questions about QV Body
What is the QV Body range designed for?
The QV Body range is formulated for dry, sensitive or eczema‑prone body skin. The products are fragrance‑free, colour‑free, lanolin‑free and pH‑balanced, making them suitable even for skin with irritation or compromised barrier.
How frequently should I use these products?
For body moisturisers: apply daily, preferably immediately after bathing or showering while skin is still slightly damp, to lock in moisture.
For washes: use each time you bathe, then follow with a moisturiser.
For bath oils: add to bath as instructed or use for soak‑sessions, followed by moisturiser.
(This is general practise; check individual product pack for specifics.)
Are these products safe for skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis?
Yes — many QV Body range products are well‑suited for skin with conditions like eczema or dermatitis because they avoid common irritants (fragrance, colour, lanolin, SLS) and support the skin barrier.
Do dermatologists recommend QV?
The QV brand of products are research based and Australian made and owned. Their products are well known and come highly recommended by dermatologists and doctors for excellence in skin care.
What are common triggers for dry body skin and how does the Body range help?
Common triggers include: heavy washing with soap, hot baths/showers, low humidity, cold weather, detergents, and ageing skin barrier.
The QV Body range helps by using mild cleansers (soap‑free) and moisturisers/emollients to restore hydration, support barrier‑lipids and reduce dryness.
What does QV Skincare stand for?
Queen Victoria Hospital. It was in response to a request from the dermatology ward of Melbourne's iconic Queen Victoria Hospital that Gerald Oppenheim created a specialist skincare product that would later become known as QV Bath Oil – named in honour of the hospital.
